Havana, February 24, 2016.- A meeting of US and Cuban authorities from the area of cybersecurity ended in Havana this Tuesday, February 23. The discussions, which addressed the potential to increase existing bilateral cooperation on the subject, were held in a professional and respectful climate.
The Cuban and US delegations were made up by representatives of the Ministries of the Interior and Foreign Affairs, and the Departments of Homeland Security, State and Justice, respectively.
Both sides agreed on the importance of advancing in their cooperation and the necessity to sign bilateral agreements on the issue, and decided to continue their work in technical meetings to be held in the future alternating venues. (Cubabminrex)
CUBA, February 16, 2016.- A Memorandum of Understanding for the establishment of regular flights between Cuba and the United States was signed on the morning of Tuesday, February 16, at Hotel Nacional of Cuba.
On the Cuban side, the Memorandum was signed by Adel Yzquierdo Rodríguez, Minister of Transportation; and Alfredo Cordero Puig, President of the Cuban Civil Aviation Institute. On the US side the Memorandum was signed by Anthony Foxx, Secretary of Transportation; and Ambassador Charles Rivkin, Assistant Secretary of State for Economic and Business Affairs.
