
UNITED STATES, December 17, 2015. On December 15, 16 and 17 representatives from Cuba and the United States of America held talks in the US capital to resume the technical talks on the ongoing bilateral exchange about hydrograph and nautical charts, initiated in February, 2015. The Cuban delegation was lead by Colonel Cándido Regalado Gómez, Head of the National Office for Hydrography and Geodesy (ONHG), and the US representatives were lead by Rear Admiral Gerd F. Glang, Chief Hydrographer and Director of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Office of Coast Survey (NOAA).
During the meeting, the parties exchanged on the performance of entities committed to this activities in both countries, and equally shared views on the status of hydrographic surveys and mapping. Likewise, they ratified the relevance of promoting hydrographic information related to international charts and the development of nautical charts making. (CubaMinrex)
